“The control, exploitation and commodification of death is at the core of the neoliberal capitalist system. Exploited lives, treated as "objects" in the sense that they are not worthy of life, disproportionately include marginalized identities and nonhuman beings and reflect an inherent structural "uncaring". Our team has been working an speculative Tamagotchi-like toy where "dead" beings are reborn in the gameworld, to be taken care of, paid attention to, and played with by the living.
    This interrogates the notions of the life-death divide, linear conceptions of growth and success, and places a practice of continuous, non-discriminatory, bidirectional care at the centre of play"
